Lemon and hot Water

If there is one thing I would suggest you add to your morning routine it is to have a mug with hot water and lemon. It’s very easy to do and the health benefits are many. Just squeeze half a lemon and add some hot water (not boiling).

Lemons are very high in Vitamin C and potassium. Vitamin C is great for fighting colds and potassium stimulates brain & nerve function and helps control blood pressure. So they are great for boosting your immune system.

You may also have heard about how beneficial it is to have an alkaline body. Lemons are incredibly alkaline, when inside our bodies. . The citric acid does not create acidity in the body once metabolized.
Outside our bodies lemons are very acidic.

The warm water and lemon is great for your digestion and it helps get rid of toxins in the digestive tract.

I love the way the lemon water helps get rid of toxins in the blood. This will also make our skin clearer and the vitamin C will also combat wrinkles and blemishes. This “magic” water also flushes out unwanted material, which helps keep the urinary tract healthy.

This simple tip can also assist you in losing weight, as lemons are high in pectin fiber, which helps against hunger cravings. It is also easier to lose weight when your body is in an alkaline state.

One of the most important thing is that is hydrates the body and when the body is well hydrated it can operate at its best.

So, add hot water and lemon to your morning routine. It will set you up for the way and assist in maintaining your wellness.

Some benefits of cleansing your body

Nutritional Cleansing has many benefits. The main one is that you remove toxins from the body. We are exposed to toxins daily and throughout our life. Toxins such as preservatives, pesticides, heavy metals, cancer causing chemicals, environmental pollutants. Toxins get stored in our body and effect our immune system, metabolism, behaviour etc. and it will lead to disease.

Toxins are stored in the body (in our tissues, cells and brain).
Our body has an in-built detox function to deal with toxins but our bodies gets overloaded with toxins and when it does it can cause disease such as cancers, heart disease, strokes, neurological disease. A body full of toxins will also be more prone to colds and flus.

By regularly detox (nutritional Cleanse) you will build up our immune system. It will also rid the body of toxins stored in fat cells and increase your metabolism. Toxins affect the body’s ability to burn fat and can cause weight gain. So detoxification is crucial if you want to lose weight.

By detoxing you will also find that your body becomes more effective of absorbing nutrients, including antioxidants and vitamins to help fight oxidative stress.
If you want to slow premature ageing – detox – it helps rid the body of free radicals that break down the body.

Even the skin, hair and nail quality will be improved when we detox.
Our emotional and mental state will also improve. We become more grounded, it is easier to see things clearer and we can make better decisions. Joint pain and digestive disorders improve and our hormonal system will improve and become more balanced.

Our bodies simply don’t function well when they are loaded with toxins.
